This is Me
Plants for Life, LLC is my baby. I started it in the fall of 2016 with several boxes full of herbs, some beautiful nut butters, some quality oils and some big ideas. I wanted to form a company with all of the knowledge I gained from my studies at Milagro School of Herbal Medicine and with this passion for natural medicine and plant-based product making that I've had since I was a kid. I was one of those kids who refused to wear skirts and who loved to climb trees
and commune with nature. This part of me, I have never outgrown (although I do like sundresses now). I have amused friends and family members through the years with my love of making what they would call "witches brews". Well, these are what are commonly known as herbal medicines. Following my passion, using the knowledge I gained through my studies, I formed Plants For Life, LLC. And through it I will be bringing you some healthy, natural, creative, effective herbal teas, medicinal tea blends, other forms of herbal medicines, and bath & body products.
My nickname is PlantLove Healer because this is what I am and this is what i do. I studied herbal medicine in New Mexico with some amazing Teachers of Western Herbalism, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Curanderismo (South American Shamanic Healing) during the years of 2013-2014. When I graduated, I knew I wanted to help people to manage and cure their ailments, but I also wanted to make the world a healthier place with teas, medicines, bath & body products that are 100% natural, chemical-free and free of anything that can make a body less healthy. My product ideas have developed from fully natural to expand into being fully vegan and eventually making all bath & body products fully edible. What does this mean?
In school one day we had a guest teacher who was an aromatherapist who owned her own essential oil company. She made a statement that had a HUGE impact on me: YOU SHOULD NEVER PUT ANYTHING ON YOUR BODY THAT ISN'T SAFE TO PUT IN YOUR MOUTH. Tall order huh? Not at all. It is incredibly easy to make bath and body products that are for the most-part edible. And the things that you can't make edible, you can at least make them very very safe (vegan, chemical-free). So ultimately, as my course continues, I would like to have 100% vegan and/or fully edible bath & body products. The point is not for you to eat them. The point is that if you did, nothing bad would happen to you.. and that's what you call 100% NATURAL.
